Malala's father runs with school in Northwest Pakistan that Malala goes to. Two Talibans with beards came onto Malala’s bus and shot her in the left side of her face near the ear, and the Taliban fled and Malala was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was still breathing. After Malala recovered fully she gave a speech on her 16th birthday to the United Nations. The Taliban still consider Malala as a target. She also wrote a book called I am Malala.
